Shooting The Breeze

Through the regurgitated teen music blasts, collaged band dwelldom and mangled homespun ritualism, Shooting The Breeze examines and engages with the themes if misconstructed memory, apocalyptic youth and snapshots of a failed futures. (STB)

Lost in time: Picking carefully through scattered possessions, used and abused, loved and displayed there is a strong feeling of loss but not without humour and an element of lucky charm superstition. The objects remind me of fragments of my youth, the old black and white photographs remnants of some one else’s. Balance seems to run through the work, that the tipping over from stability to failure is inevitable and I am watching, just waiting, for the clattering sound of the fall.
