I always want more from an exhibition, and this was true of the limited retrospective at the tate. However I wasnt really disapointed. Its hard to feel cheated by the scale and energy of Twomblys paintings and although the Tate has some Twombly on perminant display its quite another experience to see his paintings grouped together. Twomblys work on paper adds another layer to the viewers experience of the paintings. Room 6 is a gift, as minimalism finds its way into Twomblys world.Impressive.
