WHITE CUBE-HOXTON Sq LONDON. 16th jan-21st feb.
Rosson Crow

Queens Butcher Shop,1910 (2008)
Its not just the scale and lavish feel to these paintings that more than simply exist in WHITE CUBE, its the ferociously applied paint and the apparent need to engage in the act of painting that drew me in and held me there. Its been so long since I have been held-stood still-in front of a painting (possibly Bacon earlier in the year). This is a must see exhibition.

These paintings and one beuatifuly grotesque sculpture lurk upstairs in the dark gallery, for me it was flesh sin and a blessing (on a personal note) right up my street. Please visit.
My Thanks
My thanks go out to the owners of FISHBONE GALLERY COVENTRY. Judy & Jeff….
For support and advise with the hanging and realization of ‘The State She’s In’.
For creating a relaxed and professional atmosphere for the opening night.
Because I really only had to worry about turning up to the event and enjoying the evening.
