idio is what happens when you find your own voice

With just under a week before Coventry University M.A exhibition (fine art, craft and media arts) there is a real feeling of haste among the the group. Its been a roller coaster ride and as we near the private view its becoming very clear what the priorities are or perhaps should have been. One important aspect is that I have felt it necessary to separate the show from the M.A and its ‘what marks did I get’ preoccupation that can occure and is only natural to a certain degree but it only clouds the purpose of the show. This is a launch pad for all of us and not an ending but an opportunity to show case our potential.

We had a vision for this exhibition which was to create a group show feel despite our obvious differences, celebrating them rather than moulding them into a more generic M.A exhibition. Celebrating any artists unique point of view and approach to their work is key.

Some of us have discovered our own voice and should be using it, bellowing out our unique qualities
